Trees that cannot wait

A tree that is leaning more than it used to, has a split trunk, exposed roots, or large dead sections is telling you something. Coastal storms and saturated ground make these failures more likely, and more sudden.

We assess the hazard, plan a safe takedown, and remove the tree piece by piece so it never gets the chance to come down on its own terms.

Warning signs to watch for

  • A sudden or worsening lean
  • Cracks or splits in the trunk or major limbs
  • Mushrooms or fungus at the base, a sign of rot
  • Large dead limbs or a thinning, bare canopy
  • Heaving soil or exposed roots on one side

How it works

1

Free hazard assessment

We evaluate the lean, decay, and what’s at risk, then give you a clear plan and quote.

2

Controlled, rigged removal

Licensed and insured, we take the tree down in pieces with proper rigging so nothing else gets damaged.

3

Full cleanup & haul-away

We remove all debris and leave the site safe and clean.

We could not be more impressed with this tree company! From start to finish, they were an absolute pleasure to work with. Communication was excellent, they arrived right on time, and they delivered exactly what we asked for. They even went above and beyond by removing and cleaning up some old, large stumps we had. As a bird enthusiast, I was especially touched by the care and respect they showed around the large natural nesting area on our property. They took the extra time and had incredible patience while carefully working around the nests and eggs, making sure the birds and their habitat remained safe and undisturbed. This was incredibly meaningful to me, and I cannot express how appreciative I am of their thoughtfulness and compassion. The area was extremely difficult to access, but they handled everything with incredible skill and professionalism. They left the property clean and tidy, and the results exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend them!

We loved the service! Michael did an amazing job, very professional, no damages, but also they were available within just a couple of days and I needed that tree to be removed urgently. They cleaned everything after the job and my grass was not harmed! And I even have a nice fire tip table made from the tree log - they helped to cut it flat and transfer it to its place :)) Overall, thank you!

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if my tree is actually dangerous?

The things that worry us: a lean that has appeared or worsened recently, especially with soil heaved up on the opposite side of the base; a vertical crack or seam down the trunk; a hollow that sounds drummy when you knock on it; mushrooms or conks growing out of the base or a root; large dead limbs in the canopy; and any tree that was topped in the past. One of those is worth a look. Two or more, call us.

Is a hazardous tree the same as an emergency?

No, and the difference matters for what you pay. A hazardous tree is one that has not failed yet but is likely to. It gets scheduled, planned properly, and costs less. An emergency is a tree that already came down or is actively failing right now, which is 24/7 work under pressure and costs more. The whole point of dealing with a hazardous tree is to never have the emergency. Emergency service is here.

Can a hazardous tree be saved instead of removed?

Sometimes, and we would rather save it. Weight reduction on an over-extended limb, cabling a weak union, or clearing deadwood can take a tree from risky back to sound. What cannot be fixed is significant root or butt rot, a trunk crack through the stem, or a root plate that has already started to lift. We will tell you plainly which one you have.

There are mushrooms growing at the base of my tree. How bad is that?

Take it seriously. Fungal fruiting bodies at the base or on a root usually mean decay is already well established in the wood that holds the tree up, and by the time you see mushrooms the internal damage is typically much further along than it looks. The tree can appear completely healthy up top and still fail at the base in the next storm. Get it assessed.

What if the dangerous tree is on the property line?

Talk to your neighbour before anything happens, and get the agreement in writing. Rules on shared and boundary trees vary and it is very easy to end up in a dispute over a tree that was half theirs. We are happy to walk the line with both parties, explain what the tree is doing, and quote it so everyone sees the same information.

Do you remove trees that are into power lines?

It depends which line. The service drop running to your house we can usually work around. Anything on the utility company’s primary lines is theirs, not ours, and you need to call them first. If a tree is touching a live line right now, stay well away from it, call the utility, then call us at (912) 342-0440.

Are you insured for this kind of work?

Yes, licensed and insured on every job, with a certificate available before we start. Hazardous removals are exactly where coverage matters most, because these trees are unpredictable by definition and you do not want to be the one holding the risk when a crew without insurance takes one down beside your house.
